Still drinking? That’s why the weight won’t shift.

I didn’t lose weight because I found the perfect diet. I lost 50kg of weight because I stopped drinking. Not just for a week and not just “cutting down”, but I went all in for nearly a year. When I did, everything else started falling into place.

The weight had always felt like the problem, but it wasn’t really. The problem was what alcohol did to my decisions, to my discipline, my mornings and my motivation. When I drank, I woke up feeling foggy, skipped the gym and would often grab easy food (how many of you are going exactly that as you’re sitting in bed, hanging out of your bum this Sunday morning?!)

I told myself I’d “start fresh on Monday”…again. Then, I repeated the cycle the following weekend.

I wasn’t lazy, I was chemically stuck.

No amount of step counting, calorie tracking or PT sessions with the awesome James could outrun the effects of drinking every weekend.

The moment I went alcohol-free, it all shifted for the positive.

  • I wanted to train

  • I craved proper food

  • I slept like a monk in a dark cave

  • And I had the headspace to sort my life out

The weight didn’t just melt off overnight (I wish!!), but it did stayed off. This time, it wasn’t willpower; it was alignment with the version of myself I wanted to be.

If you’re reading this feeling like shit and wondering why things aren’t clicking, this might be your sign.

I coach people who want more than a body transformation. They want clarity, to regain control of their lives, consistency and freedom from the patterns that keep them stuck.

If that’s you, I’m here.
